Shawn Storm does song with US actress

Incarcerated dancehall artiste Shawn Storm has collaborated with US actress KD Rose on the track, ‘ Watchu Know About’, produced under this Kwashawna Records label.

“This record is special because it has one of my all-time favourite actresses doing collaboration with Shawn Storm, plus it’s on his record label,” said Record producer Still Yet, who is the spokesperson for Shawn Storm.

KD Rose is known for her role as Donna in the movie, Next Friday. In an Instagram post, she described the song as “dope as f* & “.

“Don’t ask me how I did it but it’s coming out soon,” added KD Rose, who has had roles in several other major films, including Soul Plane and Scorpion King.

The actress said that she has been a fan of reggae music for a long time.

“I came to Jamaica years ago and fell in love with the music and the culture, so working with Shawn Storm, through his associates, was a real blessing,” she said in a statement.

“I am expecting amazing things with this Shawn Storm collaboration. Juggling music and acting is somewhat difficult, but to be able to write and record my vocals between acting gigs gives me some amount of freedom. I am doing what I love and what makes me happy.”

SONG’S PROMISE

The song, Whatchu Know About, delves into relationships and the concept of love, and will be officially released on Valentine’s Day, February 14.

“It is a good look for his musical journey because it’s far from over. The goal is to continue growing, and it’s all possible because of the die-hearted fans that never ever forget his impact.”

Shawn Storm is currently awaiting the outcome of his appeal. He is currently serving a sentence of life imprisonment, having been convicted alongside Vybz Kartel in 2014 for the murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams. His latest single, Weed Tribe, was released last year.
